Each page covers colours, origins, treatments and price per carat, with stones you can see in person at JTC.

Red spinel from Burma, hot pink Mahenge and the rare cobalt blue. Most spinel is sold untreated, which is a big part of why collectors chase it.

Raspberry rhodolite, green tsavorite and orange spessartite. Garnet gives you more colour per baht than almost any other stone, and it is one of the nine nopphakao gems.

Natural zircon, a real mineral and nothing to do with cubic zirconia. Cambodian blue zircon has strong fire and a sparkle close to diamond.

Six-rayed stars in blue and black sapphire. Black star sapphire is a Thai specialty, and a sharp, centred star is what drives the price.

Pink sapphire for engagement rings and the sunset-coloured padparadscha. With padparadscha, the lab report matters more than with any other sapphire.

Neon Paraiba, soft pink and bicolour stones that shift from green to pink in a single gem. No other gem family covers as many colours.

Faceted, ring-grade amethyst and citrine set in gold. These are fine jewellery stones, not beads, and they look their best in larger sizes.

The honey-coloured stone with a single line of light across it, and one of the nine nopphakao gems. You pay for a sharp, centred eye that opens and closes under light.
Heated, unheated, oiled or untreated: we write it on your invoice before you pay, not after.
Any stone can go to GIT or AIGS in Bangkok. Both labs are a short walk from our office.
Book a time at the Jewelry Trade Center on Silom, look at the stone in daylight, then set it here or take it loose.
Yes, if you buy from an established dealer and never from a shop a stranger or tuk-tuk driver takes you to. Ask for the treatment in writing and a lab report from GIT or AIGS on any important stone.
Yes, but never mixed up with natural ones. These pages are natural stones only. Our lab-grown range has its own pages and every lab stone is labelled as lab-grown.
Yes. You can buy the stone loose or have it set in 10k, 14k or 18k gold. Most custom pieces take one to three weeks, and we ship worldwide.
Treatment, clarity, origin and cut. An unheated stone with a lab report can cost several times a heated stone that looks similar, which is why we put the treatment in writing.
Tell us the stone, colour, size and budget. We source from dealers across JTC and send photos and videos before you commit.
