How does the custom jewelry process work from start to finish?

It's five steps and we handle all of them under one roof in our Bangkok workshop. You send us your idea (a sketch, a photo, a Pinterest board, or just a description), we talk through stones, metal and budget, then we send you a CAD design and 3D render to approve. Once you sign off, our team grows or sources the stones, casts the metal, and hand sets and polishes the piece. Nothing gets shipped until you've seen renders and you're happy. How much does a custom piece cost? Is bespoke more expensive than buying retail?

Accepted Answer

Custom is usually cheaper than a comparable piece from a retail brand, not more, because you're buying direct from the people who make it with no middleman markup. The final price depends on three things: the metal (14k vs 18k gold, weight), the stones (size, type, quality), and the complexity of the design. Bespoke projects with us commonly start in the lower budget bands and scale from there. Tell us your target budget and we'll design to it, then send an exact quote before you commit a baht.

How long does a custom piece take to make?

Accepted Answer

Most custom pieces take around two to four weeks from approved design to finished piece. Simple bands and settings are faster, and anything with intricate stone setting, pavé work, or a large center stone we need to source takes a little longer. If you have a hard deadline (a proposal, an anniversary, a flight home), tell us up front and we'll tell you honestly whether we can hit it.

Can you make jewelry from a photo, a screenshot, or a design I found online?

Accepted Answer

Yes, this is one of the most common ways clients start. Send us a photo of a ring you love, a screenshot saved on your phone, or a rough sketch, and we'll turn it into a CAD design and render for your approval. We can match a look closely or use it as a jumping off point and improve on it. We won't produce an exact counterfeit of a trademarked branded design, but we can absolutely capture the style you're after.

Question 5

Can I reset a stone I already own, or use my own diamond or gemstone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We regularly reset heirloom stones and stones clients bring in or ship to us. We'll inspect the stone, advise on the best setting for it, and build the new piece around it. If you want to keep an old diamond but modernise the ring, that's a straightforward job for us.

Do you ship custom jewelry worldwide, and how is it protected?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we ship finished pieces to clients around the world using fully insured, tracked courier services. High value pieces travel with signature on delivery and full insurance for the declared value. We've delivered custom work to clients across the UK, EU, US, the Middle East and beyond, so international commissions are normal for us, not a special case.

Will my piece be certified, and how do I know the quality is real?

Accepted Answer

Every diamond we set can come with an IGI or GIA certificate, and our colored stones can be supplied with recognised lab identification on request. Because we grow, cut and set in house, we control quality at every stage instead of trusting a supply chain we can't see. You'll know exactly what stone is going into your piece before we make it, in writing.

Do I get to see and approve the design before you make it?

Accepted Answer

Always. You approve a CAD design and a 3D render before we cut a single stone or cast any metal. If something looks off (a prong too heavy, a stone a touch too big or small), we adjust the render and send it again. Nothing goes into production until the design in front of you is the design you want.

How do payments and deposits work for a custom order?

Accepted Answer

We typically take a deposit to begin production once you've approved the design, with the balance due before the piece ships. We'll agree the full price in writing before you pay anything, so there are no surprises. We can work with international bank transfer and other secure methods depending on where you are. Ask us and we'll confirm what's easiest for your country.

What happens if I want changes, or I'm not happy with the final piece?

Revisions happen at the design stage, and that's the point of the CAD and render approval: we change things on screen, for free, until you love it, before any metal is cut. Once a bespoke piece is made to your approved design it's built specifically for you, so custom orders aren't returnable the way a stock item would be. Are lab grown diamonds real diamonds?

Accepted Answer

Yes, lab grown diamonds are real diamonds. They have the exact same physical, chemical and optical properties as mined diamonds, the same hardness, the same fire and brilliance. The only difference is origin: ours are grown in a controlled environment instead of dug out of the ground. They are not simulants, they are genuine crystallised carbon. What's the difference between a lab grown diamond, moissanite, and cubic zirconia?

Accepted Answer

A lab grown diamond is an actual diamond. Moissanite and cubic zirconia are diamond simulants, meaning they look diamond-like but are different materials with different hardness and different sparkle. Moissanite is very durable and throws more rainbow flash, CZ is soft and cheap and clouds over time. If you want a real diamond at a fair price, lab grown is the one you're looking for.

CVD vs HPHT, which is better?

Accepted Answer

Both produce genuine, gem quality diamonds, so neither is "better" across the board. CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) grows the diamond layer by layer from carbon gas and is popular for colorless stones and larger sizes. HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) mimics how diamonds form in nature and is often used for melee and for enhancing color. Most of what we supply is high quality CVD, and we'll always tell you which method your stone came from.

How much cheaper are lab grown diamonds than natural?

Accepted Answer

Lab grown diamonds typically cost 50% to 80% less than a comparable mined diamond. That gap isn't about quality, it's about cutting out mining, long supply chains and layers of middlemen. Are lab grown diamonds certified, and by whom?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our lab grown diamonds can be certified by IGI or GIA, the same major laboratories that grade natural diamonds. The certificate grades the stone on the 4Cs (cut, color, clarity, carat) and confirms it is laboratory grown. You get the paperwork with the stone, so you can verify exactly what you paid for.

Will a lab grown diamond pass a diamond tester?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Because a lab grown diamond is real carbon diamond, it passes a standard diamond or thermal tester as a diamond, because that's what it is. Telling lab from mined apart requires specialised laboratory equipment, which is exactly what IGI and GIA use when they grade and inscribe the stone. To the naked eye, and to a normal jeweller's tester, it reads as a diamond.

Do lab grown diamonds hold their value? Can I resell?

Accepted Answer

Here's the honest answer: like almost all jewelry, natural or lab, you shouldn't buy a diamond as a financial investment. Retail markups mean resale rarely returns what you paid, and that's true for mined stones too. What lab grown gives you is far more beauty and size for your money on day one. Buy it because you love the piece and what it represents, not as an asset to flip.

Are lab grown emeralds, rubies and sapphires also real gemstones?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A lab grown emerald is real emerald (beryl), a lab grown ruby or sapphire is real corundum, chemically and physically identical to the mined versions. They are not glass and not imitation. Do lab grown diamonds come in different qualities?

Yes, and this catches a lot of buyers out. Lab grown does not automatically mean flawless. They're graded on the same 4Cs as natural diamonds, so there are cheaper, lower color and clarity stones and there are premium ones, and the price reflects it. When you buy from us we walk you through the grade so you know whether you're getting a top color VS stone or a more budget friendly grade, no guessing.

Yes.
